New Preston Wellness Yoga and Wellness Center has three massage therapists available by appointment only. They offer a variety of massages in our cozy private massage room.

Nancy Opgaard: 860-248-3147

Although Nancy primarily does Swedish Massage, she also has training in Anma, a Japanese style of therapy, Cranial Sacral, and Quantum Touch. She often combines these techniques, depending on her clients’ needs. She particularly likes incorporating Quantum Touch while giving a traditional Swedish Massage to enhance the relaxation response.

Byron and Rosetta Eddy: 203-266-0001

Byron and Rosetta Eddy massage sessions incorporate a holistic background and integrate various techniques: Somatics, Trager Approach, Acupressure, Myofascia Release, Reflexology, and Swedish massage. Massages are given according to the needs of the individual. Rosetta and Byron have almost 30 years experience working as Holistic Massage Therapists.

Byron is also certified in Dellagrotte Core Integration. This method is based on principles set forth by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, biomechanics, and somatic arts. Using simple awareness lessons and principles of good movement (resonance, lengthening, stretching, strengthening and relaxation, Core Integration, or CI, creates a more integrated sense of self and a feeling of free mobility. It can help transform ingrained limiting habits to a higher level of efficiency that becomes transferable into day-to-day life. Byron also applies the principles of Aikido.
